Frequently asked questions.

Where does the training take place?

Our training sessions take place in your home or local area. Depending on what issues you’re facing we may be limited to start but can progress across different locations as we go!

How many sessions will I need?

That depends on; what we’re training, your ability to be consistent, the effort and time you can put in, your pet, if there’s any underlying issues we need to work on, and about a dozen more factors. Training looks different for everyone, there is no set timeline you need to follow.

What type of training do you offer?

All training with TC Pet Training is as force free as possible, I’m a member of IMDT, FearFree and PPG, this means we always strive to keep your pet stress-free and successful as we train. Tricks, obedience, or behaviour work, I believe you and your pet are a team, we don’t need conflict to reach your goals.

Will you help me pick out a dog/bird/lizard/pet for my kids?

I will happily help you pick out the right pet for your family. Introducing another species to the house is a decision that will affect everyone, it can’t just rest on the shoulders of a kid. Even for smaller pets, a lot of the care and maintenance will fall to the adults!

Why does your social media mainly focus on your pets?

When I’m out training with you and your pet, my main priority is you. If you want to take videos/pictures for your own progress and learning, that’s fine by me! Getting good shots for instagram really doesn’t come onto my radar while we train! Easier to get videos/pictures of my own dogs on my time, not yours.
